Theatre department prepares for UIL, looks to the future

The Featherduster article by Nikki Humble . March 13, 2015. Thanks Nikki!

The theatre department is at it again. Last semester it wowed with its productions of “The Red Herring” and “Fantastic Mr. Fox.” This semester it’s directing its efforts towards their UIL One Act piece “The 39 Steps” before moving on to the senior-directed one acts to cap off the year. Theater department puts on one act play before going to competition
The Featherduster
article by Sage Sutton . March 12, 2015. Thanks Sage!

“I don’t think this community has seen a show like this before,” theater teacher Meredith Yanchak said. “The concept of the show is completely unique. It’s a bunch of actors and they are putting on the most monumental film of the 1930s, The 39 Steps, complete with plane crashes and car chases and running over trains. They are putting all of that on, live, right in front of you on stage. People should want to see how that happens — you should want to see a plane crash on stage.”: The Featherduster
